A DEXA scan gives you a precise breakdown of fat mass versus lean mass, so you can see exactly what your body is losing and what it’s keeping. Without it, you’re guessing. For most people, whether you’re in a training block, weight loss program, or on GLP-1 medications, we recommend scanning every quarter (3 months). This gives your body enough time to show meaningful change while keeping you accountable. For aggressive transformations or competitive prep, monthly scans give you the tightest feedback and the clearest picture of what’s working.

We respect your time and ours. Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows will forfeit the scan credit. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in a shortened appointment or forfeited credit at our discretion. If you cancel your membership, unused credits follow the rollover policy.

A DEXA scan emits an extremely low level of radiation, roughly equivalent to eating 4 bananas or taking a short airplane flight. It is widely considered safe for healthy adults and is routinely used in clinical and research settings worldwide. If you have specific health concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor before scheduling.

Traditional bone density scans focus solely on bone health and are typically used to screen for osteoporosis. A full body composition DEXA scan goes much further, measuring fat mass, lean mass, visceral fat, bone density, RMR and more in a single 6-minute scan. It’s a complete biological blueprint, not just a bone health check. Please note that our scans are designed for body composition tracking and do not screen for or diagnose osteoporosis.

After your scan, a member of our team will walk you through your results using a printed report, breaking down every metric from your scan: body fat percentage, lean mass, visceral fat, bone density, RMR, regional arm and leg composition, fat distribution, and more. From there, your full results are uploaded to the DexaCore app and web portal, where you can access them anytime and track changes across every scan over time. No confusing numbers left unexplained. We make sure you walk out knowing exactly what your results mean.

You can cancel your plan at any time through the DexaCore app, your web portal, or by contacting us at info@dexacore.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You won’t be charged again. Any unused scan credits will remain in your account for 90 days.

Our studio is ADA accessible. However, our equipment requires clients to be able to independently transfer onto the scan table. We are not able to assist with the transfer itself.
